Keystone Club of the Rockies Attends Montana Conference
Oct 2012
Keystone Club teens attended the Annual Montana Keystone conference held this year in Anaconda. The Keystone Club sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of the Hi-Line holds the status of "Gold" in the National Keystone Clubs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Directed by Mary Owens, The Keystone Club of the Rockies has made great efforts to serve in many capacities in the community and nation. During the conference, club members toured Montana Tech and the historic Washoe Theater. They were able to attend a workshop by First Interstate Bank on Financial Literacy. Keystone youth participated in several service projects helping at schools along with the Kiwanis Club to spruce up playgrounds and create a fun trail. In their leisure time, they enjoyed Fairmont Hot Springs. Their conference came to a close with their own Film Festival of movie trailers produced by the club members in attendance. By doing service in the community, they have an opportunity to attend the national conference which will be in Atlanta this year. They must earn their own money to attend.
