Construction on New STEM Center Begins
Spring 2013
Thanks to generous contributions from BNSF and Herbergers, the first stage of the Club′s building project is underway!
On February 25, renovations began to turn the Club′s final unfinished room into a STEM center (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
STEM programming will begin this summer and include a LEGO robotics program. Club members will be able to build functioning robots and enter them into national competitions.
"We are very excited to offer these fun new programs to our kids," said Club Director (and former science teacher) Tim Brurud. "Thanks to BNSF, we now have the funding we need to hire additional staff. We may be able to open the STEM center ahead of schedule."
