Club Teens Reach Out During Holiday Season
Winter 2013 -– 2014
The Torch & Keystone Clubs collected nonperishable food items at the front desk of the Club this December. These items were delivered to the Food Bank to help those in need.
Younger club members had an extra incentive to give, as each can of food they donate gave them a chance to win a prize!
Developing good character and a sense of citizenship is a core area of programming at the Boys & Girls Club. Through Torch and Keystone, our teen members learn the importance of giving back and helping those in need.
Thank you for supporting these GREAT programs. We could not do it without you!
Choosing names from the Angel Tree, adopting Care Center residents and caroling both at the Care Center and Eagles Manor make the Christmas season more meaningful to club teens. Teens say they are thankful for the opportunity to give back!
When Teens found out that a club member was having medical problems, they immediately wondered what they could do to help. They decided to hold a candy sale and donate the money to the family for extra expenses. The teens want to thank club members and parents who supported their efforts.
